Heather Ann Smith Harper
Heather Smith (Brighton, England, 1950) moved to Majorca at the age of twenty. Before moving there she studied two years of English and Philosophy at Manchester University. She has a degree in Spanish Philology from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and in 2017 was awarded an MA in Creative Writing from Oxford Brookes University. Since retiring from teaching A-level English at a Majorcan secondary school, she dedicates her time to writing, translation and running a creative writing book club. She has written short stories and is currently writing a novel. Heather is bilingual and writes in both English and Spanish. She recently contributed to a book of stories about Oxford: Relatos de El Trueno Dorado, edited by Ilia Galán (Editorial Sapere Aude).
