Poems of Joy and Melancholy

Poems of Joy and Melancholy is a selection of poems written over a period of fourteen years, from 2005 to 2019. They range from luminous moments of joy -when even the mundane can unexpectedly point to beauty, to the eternal; when we are offered a gift in spite of everything-, to expressions of melancholy brought on by loss, sorrow, doubt, the transience of life from which no one escapes. They were written from the heart when verse was the only vehicle that could convey with any accuracy what mostly comes from the spirit of dreams. These poems are also guardians of memories, both personal and of the times we live in, which we trust will remain when we can no longer summon them.
